We鈥檙e excited to announce a new partnership with the United Kingdom and its national fusion lab, @UKAEAofficial, to commercialize our world-leading particle accelerator technology for the global market:
At the center of this partnership is TAE Beam UK, a joint venture to design, develop and ultimately manufacture and service neutral beams for fusion. TAE Beam UK 鈥 the first US-UK public-private partnership of its kind 鈥 will also develop accelerator technology for state-of-the-art cancer therapeutics, food safety, homeland security and more.听听
With investment from the UKAEA, this new entity will operate out of the lab鈥檚 Culham Campus in Oxfordshire, UK, expanding TAE鈥檚 presence in the region and establishing a global hub for this vital fusion technology.听

TAE continues to redefine FRC fusion with our advanced neutral beam technology.
Our particle accelerators have already achieved a scientific breakthrough this year with our machine鈥檚 ability to form, heat and stabilize an FRC plasma using only neutral beam injection 鈥 a first in fusion.
Now, our team has optimized this technology even more to tackle two of the biggest hurdles for an FRC machine: plasma stability at fusion-relevant temperatures.
New research published in Nuclear Fusion from the TAE team, led by James Titus, details how we鈥檝e increased beam current drive and implemented fast modulation of beam energy 鈥 enhancements that improve our plasma performance as we scale toward the cleanest, safest commercial fusion power.

Congratulations to Senior Scientist Roelof Groenewald, Science Fellow Dan Barnes and the rest of the TAE team on winning a !
This @U.S. Department of Energy research grant will support TAE鈥檚 work with a new algorithm that can perform higher fidelity simulations of plasma behavior 鈥 capturing crucial, previously unseen details that will advance our development of a cost-effective fusion machine.
The algorithm is an upgraded Darwin model, enhanced by TAE Science Fellow Dan Barnes to run faster and in 3D. TAE will partner with @Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to implement this new approach into the open-source code, WarpX, and use it to simulate plasma performance in our current machine.
As a company founded out of @UC Irvine, we鈥檙e proud to continue our tradition of intentional public-private partnership to deliver the cleanest and safest commercial fusion power. TAE, for example, is so closely collaborating with Google on its work that the Silicon Valley tech giant has a virtual control room on its campus enabling it to engage with the fusion firm鈥檚 experiments.

TAE鈥檚 relationship with UC Irvine has been a critical cornerstone of the company鈥檚 development. From the earliest days, the university provided the company with credibility, resources, and an innovative ecosystem that enabled the company鈥檚 growth.
Since 2014, Google computer scientists have worked with engineers at TAE to use machine learning (a form of AI) to find the ideal settings for a fusion device.
The company is working closely with Google, which is seeking advanced energy sources to power its hyperscale data centers.
