I am proud to share that TAE鈥檚 latest scientific milestone has been published in Nature Communications: the first-ever formation of an FRC plasma using only neutral beam injection.
This groundbreaking achievement marks a pivotal moment not just for TAE, but for fusion energy. By realizing this long-sought method of FRC formation, we鈥檝e made our fusion technology even more efficient, practical and commercially viable.
With this accomplishment, TAE鈥檚 advanced beam-driven FRC platform becomes significantly more powerful and cost-effective for clean, abundant fusion energy.
I鈥檓 deeply grateful to our extraordinary scientists and engineers who led this research, and to every member of our TAE team whose shared purpose, passion and deep expertise allowed us to deliver this milestone.
At TAE, we don鈥檛 just aim to make progress, we aim to redefine what鈥檚 possible. We pursue bold ideas and back them with the focus and follow-through needed to bring them to life.
The results we鈥檝e achieved with our streamlined machine, Norm, are a powerful testament to what鈥檚 possible when vision, innovation and teamwork align.
I鈥檓 honored to share this breakthrough with the world 鈥 and excited about its transformational impact on our net energy machine, Copernicus, and TAE鈥檚 future power plants.

New TAE fusion research alert!
Fusion Science & Technology has published two articles that highlight the tremendous progress we鈥檝e made through collaborations with the US Department of Energy, national labs, and public universities:
鈥淗ow the Exascale Computing Project and Private Magnetic Fusion Research Stimulated Each Other鈥 details TAE鈥檚 work with the US DOE鈥檚 Exascale Computing Project since 2016. With access to these world-class supercomputers and software, the TAE team created high-fidelity simulations of FRC plasmas that helped improve plasma confinement and improved the ECP鈥檚 computational toolset.听
That means this research 鈥 alongside related simulation work听 with our partners at the University of California, Irvine 鈥 advances TAE鈥檚 approach to fusion while delivering insights and benefit for the industry at large
鈥淎dvancing Fusion Research and Development at 每日大赛 Through INFUSE Program鈥 captures six years of R&D collaboration with support from the US DOE鈥檚 Innovation Network for Fusion Energy (INFUSE) program.听
This long history of collaboration with INFUSE has led to better FRC plasma stability and control, innovative heating schemes, and breakthrough insight into plasma-material interactions 鈥 all of which advance progress towards a commercially viable fusion power plant
We believe the path to commercial fusion power will be built by the collective effort of the private sector and public fusion R&D. Today we鈥檙e celebrating the accomplishments of our team and our collaborators, including Oak Ridge National Laboratory; Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory; Rochester University; Sandia National Laboratories; and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, among many others.
Together, we鈥檒l continue to drive innovation and accelerate progress toward grid-ready hydrogen-boron fusion power
