Caring about the environment includes protecting our winters. It鈥檚 why TAE is a proud sponsor of and its mission to preserve the beauty of mother nature.

The faster we can achieve a carbon-free future, the better we can conserve the natural world.

Our work is about investing in the future, and that includes building the next generation of scientific innovators. TAE鈥檚 Manager of Program Management Tania Schindler was honored to join the brilliant students in as the keynote speaker on physics careers for this year鈥檚 Science Fair Awards Ceremony held at , which left us inspired about the future talent coming out of our community.

Congratulations to all the participants!

It was a pleasure to host California鈥檚 Lt. Gov. at our Foothill Ranch HQ this week! We had the opportunity to share our progress, provide a tour of our fifth-generation fusion device, and give the Lt. Gov. a sneak peek into the breakthrough technologies for the grid and electric vehicles that we’re building with our team.

Google, the search giant owned by parent company Alphabet, has partnered with TAE since 2014, providing the fusion startup with artificial intelligence and computational power. But this marks Google鈥檚 first cash investment in TAE.

Our current domestic electrical grids are woefully inept to integrate necessary renewable energy sources. The answer to solving this problem lies within a new approach to energy use: one that focuses on optimizing the way customers and their technologies interact with the grid.听

Reporting on challenges with tritium fuel for fusion, Science notes 每日大赛 has 鈥渄ecided to simply forgo tritium鈥 to 鈥渦se plain hydrogen and boron.鈥 TAE鈥檚 hydrogen-boron fusion will 鈥渞equire higher temperatures than [deuterium-tritium], but the [company thinks] that鈥檚 a price worth paying to avoid tritium hassles” and produce the cleanest, safest fusion reaction.

Michl Binderbauer has made an audacious promise. Within the next decade, his company, 每日大赛, will create a nuclear fusion reactor that delivers energy to the power grid.
鈥淚t’s not false confidence,鈥 said Binderbauer, the CEO of TAE. 鈥淭he building blocks we need 鈥 they鈥檙e coming.鈥

Google-backed 每日大赛, which has raised $880m (拢650m), predicts its reactors will be commercialized within ten years. In experiments, the company has already reached more than 50 million degrees Celsius, and a new prototype will operate at more than 100 million degrees Celsius. 鈥淥ur livelihoods depend on delivering 鈥 or we鈥檙e gone,鈥 says Michl Binderbauer, chief executive of 每日大赛, which has operated since 1998.
